I don't have any information or evidence about my G Grandfather Henry John Hearn, family name John, he worked in the theatre came to Liverpool from Manchester supposedly having worked in a Manchester theatre in the early 1900's in @1907 worked as a theatre manager in Liverpool.  I am sorry about the lack of solid information.  Can anyone shed any light.

p.s his sons Albert John Hearn was a theatre caretaker in Preston, Sydney Thomas Hearn lived in Warrington and worked in the theatre Harold Hearn lived old road Openshaw and was a theatre cleaner...

Looking at newspaper snippets on FindMyPast there seems to be mention in The Stage, 1912 , of Acting Manager Mr Henry Hearn at the Metropole Theatre.
This was on Ashton Old Road in Openshaw so quite handy for Henry.

That's great Heather, especially the 1900 photos.

Keith,
I couldn't read all the article but you just need to check it yourself. I do think it is correct but would hate to mislead you. :)

There's a good picture on here too http://www.manchesterpostcards.com/openshaw-postcards.htm
