Mc Glynn Family Granard Co Longford
« on: Tuesday 26 September 17 19:19 BST (UK) »
Hi I'm new to this I'm trying to put together my family tree. I'm trying to trace back from my dads side of the family my father was Laurence ( Larry) MC Glynn born 1915 died 15 April 1996 who was married to my mother Kathleen nee MC Govern Born 1922 died 2 June 1979 also from Granard. My fathers father was also called Laurence and his wife Rosie  don't know her maiden name my family have lived in Granard for over 100 years because I traced back the family home to a Margaret MC Glynn. Any Help I be grateful thanks

Lawrence McGlynn and Margaret Friary married in 1912

I'll leave it at that for now in case it's the wrong family.

More than likely it was a pet name my father often talked about the Friary family I think they may have lived on the Hill IE St Josephs Tce in Granard at some time from the birth Cert my grandmothers  maiden name is  Friary. My father had a sister Rosie but that could also have been a pet name for her
