The Forlorn Hope
« on: Wednesday 27 September 17 21:43 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the Books 'The Forlorn Hope' (I think that is the title)

I am trying to find what regiment was in the town of Northampton in the autumn of 1762.
At least 3 soldiers were married there at that time but no other information is in the register.

If you google "In Search of the Forlorn Hope" - you will see that it's available on Amazon, Good Reads, and various other places.  Also available in some Libraries.

I was also able to acquire a loan copy of it many years ago - from a  local LDS Temple FHS in NZ.

Also Google - "Regiments in Northamption 1762"
"We analyse the evidence to draw a conclusion. The better the sources and information, the stronger the evidence, which leads to a reliable conclusion!" Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk.

My local FHC has a set, but I won't be there for a while. I was hoping some one owned a set.
Thanks jaybeinz
