William Henry Sinton b c 1876/1877 UK
« on: Friday 29 September 17 11:52 BST (UK) »
looking for any information on William Sinton who left the UK in 1913 and sailed to Canada- possibly Ontario. I also belive that he served in the Candian Army in WW1.
He married in the UK in 1920 and returned to canada and ran a fruit farm in the area of Essex.
Any information at all would be great! looking particularly for any details of his sailing in 1913 and 1920.

Many thanks

These replies are just fantastic! Thank you!
Is there any way to see if William Sinton came back to the UK from Canada on a visit between March 1920 and March 1923 please?

Really appreciate all your help!

I am also looking for any records for William Sinton in the Candian army for WW1.

You're very welcome.  ;)

Didn't come across WW1 attestation papers for William Sinton but you could try variations of names and surnames - here is the link

Re: William Henry Sinton b c 1876/1877 UK- travel from 1919-1923

I understand that William possibly returned to the UK in 1919 and I am keen to find out details of all his trips between 1919 and 1923 please.
I have full info re his initial entry from UK to Canada in 1913.
I also have his trip back to Canada from UK on 24th March 1920.

I understand that he possibly left canada for the UK at some point in 1919- and that he married in the UK in Feb 1920 before sailing back in March 1920.

Am also keen to know if he travelled between canada and UK between march 1920 and the end of 1923.

Many thanks indeed for any assistance or information.

Caroline

He could have travelled back to the UK via the USA - UK Return passenger list - W H Sinton born 1876 - aged 43 years - New York to Liverpool on the Megantic - 18 December 1919 - occupation farmer - intended future residence British Province. No other information to positively identify him as your William.
