1871- John Sinton

Looking for John sinton in 1871- born c 1830 Kent- and i believe he was in the Heston/Brentwood area, possibly with the police force.

Any help really appreciated.

John Sinton was discharged from 10th Royal Reg Of Hussars 25 Jan 1872. He enlisted 25 Jan 1848, Service no. 1854.

If he married Jessie Hunt on 28th July 1874  Dorset
John Sinton's occcupation was Sergeant his father Thomas occ builder

edited as entered wrong name James instead of John ::)

That is just amazing! Thank you so very very much! Yes- he married Jessie Hunt - and was the father of William Sinton who left for canada in 1913 and married in Dorset in 1920- see my other posts.

Fabulous!!!! Now you are doing it for me!!!

They married in Tarrant Rushton, Blandford- because Blandford has an army camp! so that makes sense too.

Here is a curiosity- I have found John and Jessie in 1881 mistranscribed as Linton- living in Branksome Wood Road Christchurch- but he appears to have been buried in 1885 at st Mary, Longfleet, poole- I wonder why? Any ideas?
