Please can anybody tell me at what age could a young man join the Prussian Police ?

Hi Peter

I forwarded your query to a German forum, i´m a member of, with this result.

The prussian Policemen were preferably recruited out of the Prussian Army.
After doing their service of around 7 Years they were eligible to join the Prussian Police force.
They had what the Germans call a „Persilschein“  - men who had served their country,  men of good standing with a „clean“ record

Army entlistment was at the age of 20,  + 2-3 years Service + 4 years in the Reserve Army
