Helston/Wendron burials
« on: Saturday 30 September 17 16:28 BST (UK) »
I'm over from NZ looking for the burial plots of my Cornish ancestors. I know that plenty of them are buried in Helston and Wendron. Any helpful guidance on finding specific graves would be appreciated. Otherwise I can look through the whole church yard. While I'm doing this, is anyone wanting photos from these locations? Cheers, Simon

Welcome to Rootschat!

What sort of date are your Helston burials? There's a cemetery as well as a churchyard and there may not be headstones to look for, they were beyond the means of many families especially if the main wage earner had died.
The cemetery in Helston is maintained by the council so for any queries phone 01872 324926.

The churches may have plans of their graveyards, contact details for both here

FindMyPast have transcriptions of Monumental Inscriptions for both Helston & Wendron. There is a reference on each one but I don't know how they relate to the position in the churchyards
