No birthyears given.  Scotlands People is only showing 2 births for that name - 1859 and 1912.  The 1912 birth was Port Glasgow

Which one is yours?

If you are looking for the family of the one born 1912 - any marriage would have been in the 1930's so those children may still be alive.  Rootschat has a "no living persons" policy

The Lowrie/McFadyen marriage was 1883 so Mary could not have died in 1969

Can you please clarify?

A William Lowrie aged 61 died in 1921 Port Glasgow but no middle christian name

Hi Mary ,

The 1911 Census index has a possible Lowrie family in Port Glasgow (574/14/19) -
William Lowrie 52
Mary Lowrie 48
Maggie Lowrie 27
John Lowrie 21
Mary Lowrie 19
Catherine Lowrie 16
Annie Lowrie 14
David Lowrie 12
Malcolm Lowrie 5(grandson ?)

Looking at the 1891 & 1901 Census indexes , possible other children -
Janet Lowrie b. c1885
William Lowrie b. c1887

Could that be your Lowrie's ?
