Cap Badge Identification
« on: Sunday 01 October 17 13:04 BST (UK) »
Anyone able to identify the regiment from this photo. It's all I have I am afraid. It is post WW2 so I hope it's ok to ask here. The soldier was in Korea during national service days.

Black beret usually signifies a member of Royal Armoured Corps but that only narrows it down to a handful of Regiments.

Good morning,

There were only 5 armoured regts in Korea and the badge, although very indistinct, doesn't look like any of them.

It appears to have a round centre and there is a glint of light above that so I think Royal Fusiliers. But could also possibly be RE.

Thanks to both. My hunch was that it was a Fusiliers badge. I did check what regiments were in Korea and noticed that the Fusiliers were there.
