Sadly there may not be a death record for your Mary.  Pennsylvania did not record deaths on a state level until 1906. Prior to 1906 some attempts were made to record deaths but these were usually done on the county level and not until about 1893. Usually people rely on church or cemetery records if those can be found.

If nothing materialises on here - perhaps check with St Ann's cemetery to see if Mary Ann was buried with Patrick ?

Thanks Sandra
Mary was buried with her son and his wife, I wonder what her serious illness was?

My ancestors were buried in Canada so I don't know too much about American burials but from researching my husband's ancestors, I've found the following to occur (1870s - 1940s):

Burial plots could be singular, two per plot, four per plot, etc.  While I have found one or two family plots that had three burials, I have found it to be more common that plots contain an "even" number of deceased.  Is there any chance that Mary's plot was purchased just prior to or after the death of her husband, and he is also buried in the plot?   :-\

Apologies if I am misleading you and if the above isn't necessarily true for other researchers.  Maybe my husband's ancestors just liked even numbers.   ;)
