Looking for any records at all for my great Aunt Alice R. Lindsell (b. Morpeth, Durham England 1929).

The last record I can find for her is on the passenger lists, she left Southampton, UK 20th Jan 1950 and arrived in New York on 26th Jan 1950, stating on transit to Canada.

Any help on what happened to her after that is greatly appreciated

Do you know what her middle initial R stands for?

I thought this rang a bell - I see there's a previous thread on the same person, and you thought her middle name might be Reavely:

I always heard the family refer to her as 'Aunt Reavey'. Her Aunt who died a year before her was Alice Reavley Lindsell, the middle name was originally the surname of her Nan Alive Reavley.

So it could be Reavey or Reavley.

If Alice was in the USA and you could give us an exact date of birth that would help us check her out. Unfortunately as I said previously Canada has very strict privacy laws and each province imposes its own even further. Really you need to know which Province Alice might have lived in. Were there any other relations in Canada ?

Hi Sandra, Unfortunately that is all I know, born Jan-Mar qtr 1929.

It would have to be an exact birth date unfortunately.

I may order her birth certificate.

I have found a possible birth date on the 1939 register but not 100% sure, 28th Dec 1928.
