Welcome back ;D

This is a prime example of how personable this forum really is.

I refereed an American researcher who is looking for her British ancestors only the other day to join rootschat and told her it is not like the impersonal and huge US forums which you post and can wait years for anything let alone a relevant and educated answer or help She came back to me after taking a look and was very impressed........ long may rootschat remain as is :)

This thread reminds me of why I feel so attached to RC.  We are a bit like a family, and I have always felt grateful for the day I stumbled upon this site.  Welcome back, BattyB, glad your two sides have been reunited!   :)

Hi,
Good news that you found yourself!
Even better that you managed to get your two selves to be one again!
I would also love to do that, but don't know how - I used to live abroad and was pwhh;
I now live in the UK again and had to become pwhhh because new email, new address and new computer wouldn't let me login to the old name.
Any help, anyone?

Hi there BattyB,
I'm glad that you've found yourself, and now I've found you too!
I notice that you have the North surname at the bottom of your posts. North is my family name, originating in the Chard area of Somerset, and moving to Devon, Cardiff and Warrington, where I am. I wonder if we have any shared ancestors?
Jewell - Devon, Cornwall and Manchester
North - Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Cardiff and Warrington
Rowe - Devon, Dorset
Oliver - Somerset
