Esther Evans b.Tallaght c.1866

My g grannie Esther Evans was born in Tallaght around 1866. Her parents where Patrick Evans and Mary Redmond. I found this information on a poor relief application that Esther made in Glasgow in 1900. The application states that Patrick is dead and Mary is still alive in Tallaght at that time but that is all the information I have to go on so how can I find out more about Patrick and Mary.

Start with her birth cert, it gives her date of birth as 16 April 1865, father a labourer.

Your very lucky you found that poor relief application.
On your other thread for Michael Spencer you say he married in Dublin.
This appears to be the marriage to Esther 1896

This gives her father as James, as does the church record, number 436

The priest must have made an error.
This appears to be her Baptisim number 158

I can only assume that must be Esther in Latin!!

Mary appears to have died 1902 with a dramatic jump in age 81 on 21st May her son John age 37 on 4th June 1902 both deaths were registered by Patrick jnr on 25th June 1902
