Heraldry And The Family Historian
A talk in which Derek Palgrave will emphasize the way heraldic devices such as shields, crests, badges, cadency marks, etc., provide genealogical clues. Much can be extracted from the details on a monument or a stained glass window. For example, a shield with many quarterings provides evidence of many ancestral lines. Derek has been noted for the infectious enthusiasm he can bring to what at first may seem a dry subject. We look forward to hearing him, why not join us?
