I am looking for some help please

I have been trying to research my moms family.    Her name was Gwendoline Chamley.  Born in Barton upon Irwell in 1922.  She married my dad a Canadian soldier in 1943.   Her dad's name was James Chamley born in I believe 1874 and he may have been married before just can't find anything definite.   He married my grandmother Ellen Lewis, she was born in I believe 1884 and married my grandfather in 1915.   She was married before and her last name was Chalcroft.   She had at least 4 kids with her first husband Alfred Chalcroft, 

Any info would be very helpful.   My grandfathers first wife? 

I am coming to visit my moms home and I am hoping to find my grandparents grave sites to pay my respects but I can't find any more info

As James and Ellen married in Barton upon Irwell (reg no 8c/1559), I'm wondering if this is James in the 1891 census at Philip St, Barton upon Irwell.

Do you have the marriage certificate? It should give names and occupations of the fathers, which would certainly be a helpful start.

Ellen LEWIS and Alfred CHALCROFT married in 1906 Conway (11b/751). There are four births registered as CHALCROFT with mother's maiden name LEWIS.
