I have one more thing Neil. Having now seen the Hobley entry on your other thread. Can you rule out a burial at either Tan y Maes or the chapel in Llanrug.

there was not a cemetery in tan y maes, im sure.

llanrug is where i also think is the most likely..

I haven't been able to access it(something went wrong with registration)but there appears to be a register of burials 1813-1849 Llanrug in The Peoples Collection Wales.

I've managed to get it.It doesn't appear to go as far as the title suggests,not even 1838.I've tried stepping through the pages on a well known database but can't spot any obvious omission or mistanscription.

The burials on the Peoples Collection Wales website is part of the Llanrug Parish Burial Register. The complete register has been transcribed on the link below.

thats just it huwcun,  i cannot trace them,  it states that his daughter Margaret williams/jones my great x4 grandmother was buried in llanfairisgaer in 1877,  but i cannot find a burial plot for her or my grandfather John jones buried 1871
i doubt they couldnt afford a stone,
