You mentioned Caerhun. If you mean the one in the Conway Valley then have you seen the Robert Williams shown aged 84 buried at Llangelynnin Old Church (next parish towards Conwy). In December. Does Hobley give a month?

The nearest record I can find to that is from Llangelynin(abode "Nant"),given as 1754-1838.Is that a possible?

yes ,  i had seen that gwil,
i can 100% say that he died 5th feb 1838
registered at the 8th feb 1838

Don't know about that Neil. Being religious he/his family would have wanted a burial in consecrated ground?

Assuming that, like us, you have searched the FindMyPast registers by inserting 1838 to come to a dead end then all I can think of now is looking through each book for Feb 1838 starting with the obvious ones which would be Llanfairisgaer and Llanddeiniolen. In case there's a typo by the FindMyPast inputters. Unless you've done that of course.
