I am seeing a marriage at Family Search for a Thomas 19 April 1809  at Hackney Middlesex. Can others from other sources see any further details please. From an Aunts will in 1844 he did have a widow. Have only just found his death and have yet to check out his will (an hours drive to town)

Hi I have looked at the Will 18th December 1826, his wife was a Mary Sophia, most of the writing I cannot work out but reference to an address of 6 Little Charlotte Street, the Will was witnessed by Ellen Heywood & Ann Sharp

Thanks Keyboard86. LOL. Yes the writing  . OK Mary Sophia. Aunty Ellen is living with Ann Sharp in 1841 and even gets a mention in Ellen's 1844 will.

I have found her in the census Recognize the family she is staying with in 1841 and 1861. Born 1779 . In 1851 her birth place is Blackfriars Rd and 1861 Christ Church Surrey. Died 1867 Edmonton Middlesex.

Mary Sophia, widow to Thomas  Heywood. Either the Father or son (Ferdinand) was at my direct ancestors place in one of the census

Mary Sophia's  name was Gyles.   Her and Thomas Heywood got married at Southark in 1803.

The record is burnt so the first name, Mary, is missing.

Witnesses  blank Heywood and blank Gyles
