Yes - that's the one.  So the parish is in two counties?

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Very interesting indeed.  Unfortunately I haven't inherited any form of immunity to scabies (which I think may be what "the itch" is).  I've had it once and I'm grateful there are now effective treatments.  To the best of my knowledge I haven't had a "disorder which is a disgrace to human nature".

The 1841 census has some relatives in Kilmallie being recorded as being as from in county and others from out of county but to the uninformed (myself) they all seem to be roughly from the same place.  I don't envy the enumerator that year.

I enjoyed the dig at Popery in the first one too!

There are quite a lot of parishes that are partly in one county and partly in another. Makes it very confusing when they turn up in a different county but the same parish.

Who were your ones in 1841?

Camerons!

I'm looking for supporting records for a tree.  It looks like the various researchers sourced the original documents.  For a while there I thought the records weren't quite stacking up because of the border between Argyllshire & Invernesshire, but it makes sense now.
