Really suck in finding his parents

Please can anyone help
i can only go far as Robert Moodie (mudie) 1740 - 1795 Born: Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland Died: Walls, Shetland, Scotland and his wife Anne Wardlaw 1740 - 10 Sep 1841 Born: Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland Died: Scotland

I can't find roberts mother or father I only have there wedding details and why did he go to walls Shetland island any more help finding his parents I would be greatful as I have been stuck on this for two years now 😢😢 did his family come from Ireland or from a Scandinavian country was his family originally from the Shetland??? I really would like to be able to go back further please can anyone help

Can you tell us where you have already looked? Saves duplication!! You are looking for very early records now of course....not all of them survive.

Have you noticed typo in your thread title  ;D might be worth correcting using the 'Modify' button....

FreeREG has some MUDIE/MUDY Baptisms in Dunfermline but only very early ones 1561-1605
No Marriage or Burials on there in Dunfermline.
Same with WARDLAW.
