I'm hopeful someone will be able to help me. I'm looking for information about James kavanagh, the only information I have is he is Irish and lived at 90 Dean Lane in 1934 with his wife Edith and Daughter Winnifred, at the time of my grandmas wedding Mary Kavanagh to Samuel Goodwin Moston in Manchester

There is a marriage on freebmd in 1905 between Edith Kelly and James Kavanagh.  www.lancashirebmd shows it was at Prestwich - registrar attended which indicates it was either an RC marriage or a civil ceremony

freebmd also has a birth for the daughter in 1924

www.freebmd.org.uk

You can look him up on the 1911 census on Family Search - link as follows

Possible death for him:
James Kavanagh died age 77 (born about 1875) in December quarter 1952, Manchester.

and Edith:
Edith Kavanagh died age 70 (birth about 1883) in March quarter 1953 in Manchester.

(but the 1939 has her born in 1881)

Hi Jts 12.

James Kavanagh is my Grand Uncle. He is the 5th born (7 Jan 1875) of 10 children to James & Catherine Kavanagh. He married Edith Kelly on the 20 Feb 1905 at St Maries Church, Failsworth. James and Edith had four children; James 1906, Amy 1911, Mary 1916 and Winifred. Mary married Samuel Goodwin in 1934.

Plenty more on the Irish family, PM me if you require.

Kind regards
John G.
