I found these pictures while having a sort out - I don't know where it is or what building it used to be - anyone recognise the location?

It looks like an old pub, and the sort of place someone ought to recognise.....

Might you be able to get a higher resolution scan of the double-sided For Sale sign, or the sign above the door, please?

     (Just guessing) -   Est  . . . .   but could be proprietor.

Can't get much more than Roger. 

Agree a better scan would probably solve the problem.  Even if you only scan the amount (from the original) I have cropped out, at a high resolution, that would help.

You might even be able to learn who is selling!!

It reminds me of one of those very local 'spit and sawdust' pubs that I remember from childhood*- could it be on the rural Welsh/Shropshire borders?

A re-scan as others have suggested might bring up more detail in the signs.

* note that I didn't see the insides though
