Parents of John Crone b. c1853 , John Crone/Mary Bell ?

i am helping a friend and looking for further info we have the marriage certificate dated 31st december 1878 for john crone aged 25  to clementina parker aged 25, in the parish of dalziel motherwell johns usual residence maryhill glasgow on the certificate it states johns fathers name as john crone deceased his wifes maiden name mary bell, we are looking for any info on the marriage of john crone to mary bell also the death of john and mary (bell) or anything on the 1871 census for them cant seem to find anything on scotlands people would be gratefull for any help to go further back

hi ev,
         thank you so much for that info this fits in with the john crone   married 31st dec 1878 to clementina, looks like they then go down to lochmabben dumfries, on his marriage cert. he is listed as iron planer  so now looking for his father john crone (deceased) married to mary bell it also looks on johns marriage cert 1878 that father john is a planer to its hard to make out, the family seem to be connected to iron/ steel foundry thanking you for your kind help

A public tree has the death of John Crone in Glasgow 20 Dec  1918 and states that his father's  occupation was a sugar planter - informant was daughter Mary Murray.Might be worth getting cert from SP to check this out. (Index on SP shows death in Dennistoun in 1918).

Scotland's  People has a death for Clemintina Crone/ Parker in Glasgow Hillhead in 1907.
