Advice required - Hatley family publications available
« on: Tuesday 10 October 17 11:25 BST (UK) »
My father, Ron Hatley, of Seaford in Sussex UK, passed away fairly recently and I've been given the job of finding a home for his family history research files and about fifty copies of his two books: The Hatley Wills 1528-1800 and All About Hatley.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

I suspect the family history group of whichever county the majority of the history relates to would be glad to have them.

Thanks for your kindness. To be honest, I'd rather this stuff went to a private individual than vanish into the depths of a storage unit or archive. Having worked as an archivist, I'm also aware how short of space most archives are.
Everything is currently in Bromyard, Herefordshire and can be collected from there. The books are fresh from the printers and offer a saleable commodity. The research files are boxed up and ready to go.
Hopefully somebody will want them as I don't have the space to store them.
