Robert Smith Henderson was born 1 Jan 1871 at Govan.     Parents: William Nisbet Henderson & Jessie Jardine Boyd.      I think the following is his probate record .....

"Robert Smith Henderson of 24 Claddens St, Glasgow N died 19 Apr 1942.     Confirmation of Evelyn Margaret Henderson or Nisbet.      Sealed Llandudno 13 Aug."

A lot of records were stored at Llandudno during WW2, apparently to keep them safe from the bombing.

P.S.     Correction  - This Probate is NOT for Robert Smith Henderson.      This is someone else with the same name.

Nor is it a grant of probate. There is no such thing as probate in Scots Law. The corresponding procedure in Scotland is Confirmation, and in this case the fact that it was 'sealed' at Llandudno shows that it was processed in Scotland. There was an agreement that an English or Welsh or Irish probate could be 'sealed' in Scotland to avoid the need to go through the whole process of confirmation in the Scottish courts as well, and likewise a confirmation in Scotland could be 'sealed' in ad English, Welsh or Irish court.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
