Frank Skidmore

Hi All

I have a Frank Skidmore marrying my relation Maud Mary Mansell Dec. qtr. 1918 Tamworth 6b 774.

I have the 1939 register for Mary Maud Skidmore but Frank is not with her.

So I have no Idea when he was born or where.

I have the Probate for Maud dieing 29/1/1984 at George Canning House, Ward End, Birmingham.

I have found a Probate for a Frank Skidmore 17/7/1984 at 5, Damson Lane, Elmdon Heath, Solihull.

Death Reg. Jul. 1984 Birmingham 32 1124 born 4/8/1904.

Is this Maud's husband. Can anyone find an Electoral Register with them at Damson Lane.

Frank Skidmore who died in 1984 had year of birth 1904, that would mean he was 14 years old when he married Maud Mary Mansell in 1918, so he's probably not your missing Frank.

Well that is vey nice a date I never had before and I might be able to trace is army records.
I have several census's with different parents but can't prove which one is him yet.

If you haven't found it already Frank Skidmore Pte. 10351 S. Staffs. Regt. & 402719 Labour Corps.
There are no service/pension records for him so nothing to pursue in that direction.

Maud is shown as a widow in 1939.

Yes I have just looked up the 1939 and see Maud is a widow I have looked through Electoral registers and can't find Maud in any of them.
