Calico printers

Hi All
Does anyone know if there are any directories of Calico printers from the 1820/30s in Manchester.
My 4th Great Grandfather's occupation on his marriage in 1832 was a Calico printer. I don't have much information on him as he died I think in 1836.
His name was Christopher Bentley

There was an article in the Who Do You Think You Are Magazine in the October 2014 issue about Calico Printers of Lancashire.

You might be able to find a copy in a library - or you could put out a plea on Rootschat to see if anybody has that issue.
