Hanora Murphy/Baker
« on: Thursday 12 October 17 17:15 BST (UK) »
Hanora Murphy b. c. 1840 Kilmichael Co Cork. Emigrated to USA was initially in Baltimore & then St Louis.  She worked as a Governess for a General Sneed who was in Confederate Army,
She spoke french & Married in St Louis.

I am looking for her marriage record if possible: Spouse Joseph Baden Becker a widower surname later changed to Baker (not sure when) He was born in 1832 in Maryland.

When they married it is said they set up a business making carriage interiors in Indiana & possibly Indianapolis.

Thank you

Nora is widowed in 1900 so Joseph died between 1880 also she is recorded incorrectly as born in Germany

The daughter Julia E Mcbarron died in 1959.

Besides her children her obit only mentions a sister Nora Harrington.

She was buried in same cemetery as her mother Hanora.
