finding grave in Macclesfield Cheshire
« on: Friday 13 October 17 18:37 BST (UK) »
does anyone have access to old Macclesfield Cheshire papers, or can look up a burial for me at Chester Archives.   I am looking for James Slacks' burial place. He was born around 1824 in either Wildborclough Macclesfield or Norbury?Knotbury Staffs.   He died on the 13th February 1898 in Sutton Macclesfield Cheshire aged 76yrs., and was married to Margaret Slack (nee Kemp).  She died in November 1904 in Hyde, although they lived at 43 Dirty Lane Sutton Maccesfield.  She is buried in Sutton churchyard Macclesfield, with people I have not heard of.  I have contacted the cemetery in Macclesfield and they cannot find any records for James Slack.  I would love to find where he is buried, and indeed who was at the funeral, so I can continue with my family tree.  Thank you
