Hecks/Rose marriage 1934
« on: Saturday 14 October 17 17:48 BST (UK) »
Free BMD records Ronald F. Hecks married Ivy Rose, 1934 in Bath.   My interest is Ivy - her age, where was she born (Essex/Hornchurch area?) and who were her parents (Percy and Bertha?)  A marriage certificate would probably give some detail but I wonder if there is any shortcut for this information.  Grateful for help, please.

Have you looked for her on the 1939 register as that should give a date of birth

The Ivy Rose in question was born about 1907, parents Percy and Bertha.   If this is the Ivy who married Ronald Hecks in 1934  it could throw an unbelievable family history coincidence.

There is only one Ivy Hecks on the 1939 Register , in Chippenham , Wiltshire ( from free index ) and born 1912. If you search for Hecks in Chippenham there is one  other result , Karl M Hecks b 1938. Checking Karl in the birth registrations confirms parents Hecks and Rose. There's an Ivy Rose registered J-M 1912 Chippenham 5a 136 , mmn Buckland. Unless you have some other indication that points to Essex I would think Chippenham is more likely. As always , certificates would confirm.

Edit : in light of your supplementary post not your Ivy Rose , I think ?

Yes, Christine, agree, this does not look like my Ivy Rose.
Yes, Rosie, this is the family in question

There is an Ivy Rose in the 1939 register in Southampton.   Family memories recalled a 'man in the house' but who he was is unknown.   Clearly this was not Ronald Hecks.

It was a possible coincidence which begged questions

Thanks for your help
