Hi thanks for your reply.  They moved from Greenock to West Ham where Ann died.  I am really struggling to find out about Anne's birth and anything about her family before she married my G.Grandad John McLaughlin. (They both came from Co. Donegal according to the marriage certificate) I am also trying to find out about his birth and his parents.  I have all the info needed for Anne & Johns marriage / children etc but no info before their births other than her father was called James (but someone has posted that his name was Jason so I will follow that up)  I also know that John's father was called John which also doesn't help.  Why are they always given the same names!!

From my first reply......

If they were RC..... https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0352

From FamilySearch:

Ann Given
marriage:  21 November 1868  Costhfin, Co. Donegal, Ireland
father:  Jason Given
spouse:  John Mclaughlin
other:
John Mclaughlin

Bev

If they Married 21 November 1868  they wouldn't be Registered in  Returns Quarter   1    Returns Year   1868

Bit of a coincidence, though.  There must be a bad transcription around somewhere.
Weedon - Hertfordshire and W. Australia
Herbertson, Congalton, Paterson - Scotland
Reed, Elmer - Hunts.
Branson - Bucks. and Birmingham
Warren, Ball, Jones - Birmingham
Fuller, Bourne, Sheepwash - Kent
Brittain - Beds. and W. Australia

Yes, there could be 2. They both came from Co. Donegal according to the marriage certificate, so whatever is on the Marriage Cert we do not know.

Left hand page, third from the bottom, added in the middle of the December marriages but date is Nov 22
