« on: Sunday 15 October 17 19:01 BST (UK) »
Trying to trace the origins of the Bedenbecker family.
Lewis Bedenbecker b. c 1803 arrives in Baltimore Maryland USA in 1840 from Bremen occ Glazier
In 1850 Census Lewis a Painter, wife Mary, Son Joseph, Daughter Francesca all born Germany living in Ohio.
On Francescas marriage to Eggerman in US she states she was born in Prussia.

I have looked on family search site but when I dont have their original location its difficult. Also havent found Lewis wife & children on ship record.

Thank you for any assistance

Not sure if the name Lewis was spelt that way back then in Germany,  perhaps Ludwig and maybe Bedenbacher is more likely (or Biedenbacher).

Be creative with the spelling
Stay in the  Moment

Grainger - Wigton and Newcastle Area
Gibson - Newcastle/Scotland (Roxburgh) Areas
Crisell/Crissell/Chrysel/etc. - Suffolk Area
Schoch - Germany (Öhringen Area)

Sorry about that link. It's only Ludwig selling his house.

There is an "Ortsfamilienbuch Iburg" available which contains transcripts of all the church books from 1650-1875. http://www.osfa.de/publikationen/publik_buecher.php

Familysearch has a film available at Mormon History Centers with some transcripts from 1808.
