Dumez & Pritchard 1730
« on: Monday 16 October 17 09:37 BST (UK) »
Looking for connections for either one of these, where they were born who were their parents.  They married in London but lived in Dover, Kent.

Many thanks

I have found a baptism for a Susanna Dumez in 1747 in Canterbury, parents Micah and Susanna. Unforunately she died in 1748 as did Micah. This would leave mother Susanna a widow and free to marry again.

Micah Dumez from Canterbury married Susanna Osborne from Dover 20 Nov 1743 in Canterbury by Licence so I think you may be looking for the birth of a Susanna Osborne not Dumez.

I have looked at the image for the 1752 marriage . James was a widower and Susannah a widow. There is no other information given . Susannah OSBORNE married Micah James DUMEZ 30 Nov 1743 St Alphage, Canterbury , as given by emeltom.
Edit : detail from 1743 marriage - Micah James bachelor Susannah maiden of St Mary's, Dover

The only Susanna Osborne baptism I can find in Dover is 15 Jan 1716 Presbyterian, Dover, parents Thomas and Mary.

What makes you think that James was born in Ireland?

Many thanks Emelton.  I had seen all the information relating to Micah and Susanna but wasn't sure how or whether it fitted in with the Dumez and Pritchard I was looking for.   I had saved this:
the Regyster booke of chrystenynges, maryages and buryalls of the parish of St. Alphaege in the cyttye of Canterburye, 1558-1800  - to my computer and had trolled through it. So I had a long list of Dumez and Pritchard's in that. There were also Tiddemans in there another part of my family.  I think I saw that Pritchard he may have been born in Ireland on a website somewhere.  Not necessarily correct of course.

It was interesting that the only Osborne you found was registered at a Presbyterian church. Almost everyone on this side of my family were registered at St Mary the Virgin, Dover

You have helped considerably with the puzzle over her name and where she was  born, I shall box on and try and find out more about Micah and Susanna and their children, if  they had any others other than Susanna who died the same year as her father and Pritchard.

Kind regards Bronwen, Ch.Ch. NZ.
