2 surnames from a 1639 will
« on: Monday 16 October 17 18:18 BST (UK) »
I think the forename is Cisley but cannot work out the surname for her & Nathaniel.

The last one may be Barrand but I am really not sure.

Any help will be appreciated

thanks

...give to Doctor [?] of Owtwell o(ur) worthy Pastor Thirty shillings...

The pastor's name is something like Colverly.

The CCED database doesn't cover Outwell for this date.

ADDED:

Sometimes the local pastor was a witness or overseer.  You might find his name there.

Thank you. Outwell makes sense as the testator lived in Emneth

The pastor is probably Doctor Calverly ...

'One Fincham marriage worthy of note was that of Mary to Samuel Calverley, the rector at that time, on 30 March 1627.'
