I don't see a resemblance in the man in the family pic with this one of David Thomas Rowe. Could it be the same man?

Same shaped mouth and nose. I'd be confident to say they are one and the same were it me.

I don't see a resemblance between the two men, the second photo looks be taken later.

I don't see any resemblance either - much more hair on the second man - first has a much more receding hairline.   Don't think he's wearing a hair piece!    ;)

Second photo seems much later, as Carol says.
