A photograph
« on: Tuesday 17 October 17 06:40 BST (UK) »
Since receiving the results of my DNA I am looking for a photo of my newly found grandfather.
Would anyone have a picture of William David Newcomb b 1878 in Tenterfield and died in Warwick in 1955.
I know this is probably impossible but just maybe??
Any help appreciated,
Annette

Annette there are many public and private trees on Ancestry.  I suggest you contact some of the owners.

Hi Cando,

I have contacted a few trees but no one has any photos.  I have been moving softly as Dad was illegitimate and I was afraid to step on any toes.   Hence my hope that a distant relative may come forward.  It would be a shock to the immediate family.
Thankyou,  Annette

I bless the DNA who after over 80 years we now have an answer to Dad's father.
There were court cases at the time and the proof is there.
Just wish that we knew all this before Dad died. He did not ever know and continued thinking his Mother was his aunt all his life.
Cannot help wondering if William and Dad had a likeness.
Thankyou,  Annette
