1950 Perth and Kinross, Scotland, Electoral Register

Can any one help, I have a copy of the Perth and Kinross, Scotland, Electoral Registers, -1950  for James and Elizabeth Wingate, 53 Glengarry road, Perth. There is also a Andrew Wingate living there, it is not James Brother he was killed 1918, and its not his father, any ideas please. Mary

Could this James Wingate have married and divorced an Emily Currie , then gone on to marry an Elizabeth Gardi(ner?) Stewart or Lamond ?

There is a possible son Andrew Morris Wingate(mother's maiden surname Currie) from the first marriage born 1926 , died 1994.

Not sure this will help but worth keeping in mind & probably in the Perth Directory?...

There was an Andy (Andrew) Wingate who worked as a (unsure exactly) Scrap Merchant/Ragtrader or similar but he had a place in (I think) Murray Street along from Perth Theatre where you could take your rags to be weighed for cash 

His dates (I think) would possibly be a good fit for the info. from Ev

Hi All

From memory the place next to the playhouse in Murray street was Powrie's now small car park for cinema patrons.
Andy Wingate's scrap yard is now part of the retail park opposite Morrison's supermarket
