New Zealand death index 1945.....

Percy Robert Clapp Edwards
Christchurch Canterbury

I think Percy's father was Robert Clapp Edwards? Could this be his son?

It's beginning to look like Percy may have ended up in New Zealand? And perhaps returned there after his trip to England?

Anyway, food for thought.

Assuming this is the correct Percy.....

It looks like he did not stay in the USA very long. He can also be found on the New Zealand Army Reserve list which was apparently compiled in Sep 1916. He is working as a Stud Groom which is a close match to his occupation in New York. Wellington District.

Wow! Amazing !

Thank you DB and PB.

The military records show he contracted malaria in Egypt. And give a death date of 1945.
Not sure yet if that was back in NZ but suspect he was as there looks to be a possible electoral roll there in 1938 but different wife?
A new experience for me to search for New Zealand and his movements from US to NZ.

I have found his immigration record for his second attempt at New Zealand.
June 1936
He is married to Florence and she comes from ...... Scotland!

Daughter is Pearl and she was born in New Zealand.

An opinion please.
 UK, Outward Passenger Lists, 1890-1960
16 October 1915 departure from Plymouth to Auckland New Zealand on the Remuera.

There is a passenger listed as Mr AR Edwards but I think it could be PR.
I am also uncertain of his occupation, but it looks something like horseman, but is that wishful thinking on my part?
