Can I find sombody on Ancestry without knowing the date of birth?

I know the forename , the name , place of birth (Paris, british embassy), the approximate year. Could Ancestry find the person , or another site?

There is a section on FindMyPast - British Nationals Born Overseas 1818-2005

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

There's also FamilyRelatives.com?

You have to register, but the indexes are free to search.

There is usually a cut off date beyond which they do not give out information, for privacy reasons, but if it's an old birth, you should be able to get it.
