If it's just the one site, it's more likely to be a fault with that site than with your computer.

I have quite a few problems trying to access FindMyPast from the iPad.  It's the first version and is unable to be upgraded with software changes.  I have to repeatedly sign back in.  A record will come up on a search and when I click on it it makes me sign in again.  Very irritating.

Now that they've changed the way results are presented for BDMs I can't even read the results page, so I'm not considering it to be an improvement at all.

It would be good if it upgrades worked on all operating systems.

May be the only site that the OP is using with the attributes causing restrictions.

Should Firefox (example) be running Ghostery ( for example ), individual websites can be "blocked/restricted/limitted)" based upon what adcrapaddons the site is addicted to.

The "OP" (hurworth) may not have connected to a site with similar adcrapaddons.
