Hi

I just had a little breakthrough in England

My gggrandmother Catherine Barnaby married Nathan Diggle in Lancashire England

Someone's just found her on the spoilt sections of 1851 cebsus before her marriage aged 17

No relatives but in Silk street Salford. Father at marriage is given as William. She is buried in Salford

I looked at both main RC parishes for Drogheda last night. I may have mused her as it's not clear but don't think she's there

I'll try parishes nearby but has anyone any other ideas please?

Civil reg only started 1864, nothing for Co Louth but some for North Dublin so it might be worth also checking Parishes south of Co Louth also as many often used the nearest big town as address....

I'm sorry about the slow reply 

Yes That's our Catherine marrying in Manchester England but we never got any further before..

We knew she said born Ireland on later censuses but that's all

1851 for the areas in such a bad state it hadn't been released until some people got the originals and did a lot of work recently and I haven't had access so this was a break through for us

I may have to go through all those baptisms in hope!
