The above are shown born to Ann Pickford b. 1827 Manchester
1851 census, Hannah and  John described as the children of Ellen Pickford b. 1796 In 1861 they become  Hannah's grandchildren.  I accepted at this point that Ann had the children before marrying ?
John marries Isabella Parkinson / Muckelt in 1877,  on the Lancs. OPP site i just looked at  the wedding Johns father is shown as a Edward Pickford soldier ? , I have no record of an Edward Pickford that ties in to the family could he have been a stand in ?
I think Ann b.1827 went on to m.1861 Richard Alty ?
Hannah b. 1844 i have no further details of ?

Both births are on the GRO, as Pickford and no alternative maiden name so I suspect Mum is not married

Hannah christened 28/9/1845 and John 18/3/1849 both Manchester Cathedral mother Ann Pickford.

Edward was the name of Wright Pickfords  brother perhaps,this is where the name comes from 
Wright Pickford,Farmer bachelor of Parish of Glossop in the County of Derby
Ellen Chadderton,spinster of this parish and town of Moston
married in 1815 Collegiate
witness is Edward Pickford and Thomas Charlesworth

the 1851 census matches the marriage address for Ann to Richard Alty
