Date old photograph Dyer, Scotland

Are you able to date this photograph, the background looks to be outside, do you think it's in Scotland or America?
Long shot: Are you able to read the writing on the back?

Little girl's dress suggests early 1880s - say 1882.

Not sure about the writing or country but would say more likely Scotland.

Does word on right say 'December'  ???

I'm  on my small laptop so have limited software to make it clearer  - agree it says Dyer. Then possibly Lanarkshire  :-\
 Definitely December.

The larger markings are either photgraphers mark or a childs scribbly writing.

That would make sense, Lanarkshire is where the family came from
