I`d like to obtain replica WW1 medals (1915 Star/Victory / War ) from my Great Grandad to have mounted for my Dad ...Ideally id like the 3 medals mounted alongside an inscription of around 70 words relevant to my great grandfather from WW1 Roll of Honour as i have no photographs........can any one recommend somewhere to buy a DIY kit to do this or suggest a good reliable online outlet who could produce this to order???

You can purchase medal display cases. This is just an example:

Did GGrandad die WW1? hence the memorial.
Do you have any information about how/where he died? as you may want to add to it.

Good evening,

There are several companies online who would do it for you. I will try and look them up for you.

This is probably the biggest firm that does it but you could try messdress.com and there are others
Stephens, Fuller, Tedham, Bennett, Ransome (Sussex)
Rider (Fulham)
Stephens (Somerset)
Kentfield (Essex)

My wife is pretty good at handicrafts. We bought box frames from Wilkinson's and used linen fabric as a backing to attach the ribbons to
These are my dad's medals. The MID citation is a copy, stuck in using double sided tape.
The photo isn't very good, the real thing looks much better.
The cost was a fraction of the prices charged by the company referenced.
