Herewith some basics about John Tilley (b 1858 Lubenham, Leicestershire)
(Father) Daniel Tilley (a baker) married Ann Perkins in 1829
They had 9 children - including fourth son George born 1841
Ann died about 1850
(Mother) Mary Ann Ashby (daughter of a blacksmith) married Charles Buswell in 1843
They had a daughter, Sarah Ann (born 1844)
Charles died about 1855
Daniel Tilley married Mary Ann (Ashby) Buswell in Kettering on January 31st 1856
They had 3 children including John (the middle child)
George Tilley married Sarah Ann Buswell in 1864
This meant that John Tilley had:
1 brother and 1 sister
1 half sister (who also became his sister in law)
5 half brothers and 3 half sisters.
George Tilley gained:
4 brothers and 3 sisters
2 half brothers and 1 half sister
1 step sister who also became his wife
Sarah Ann Buswell was presented with:
2 half brothers and 1 half sister
5 step brothers (one who became her husband) and 3 step sisters
