Jane Ann Stephenson born 1883 in Richmond (according to 1911 census where they were living at Mallerstang, Kirkby Stephen) married Thomas William Guy 19th june 1907, at Muker in yorkshire, her father is given as John Stephenson labourer. I am struggling to find her birth details, I have found a Jane Ann born in Richmond but her parents are Charles Stephenson and Jane Richardson. I did find a Jane Ann Stephenson living with a John And Isabella stephenson at Brough.

Opening post says father was given as John occ labourer on her marriage cert.  I wonder if she was illegit and made up a fathers name when she married

They both gave their residence as Ravenseat in yorkshire, witnesses were John Peacock and grooms sister Ellen Isabella Guy
