my photos have disappeared from my phone
« on: Wednesday 25 October 17 07:53 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 phone and yesterday my photos disappeared except the last 5 taken.
I didn't delete them they vanished!
I have looked at the files but no trace anywhere, I don't know what to do now. Any help please ?
Sue

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

May I ask for a little more help please ?
I had success with disk digger and now have my photos back  ;D
What does rooted mean please ? Is it to do with a pc ?
Also when retrieving my photos it said how many files were found and over a thousand that were being ignored by settings . I don't know what that means either. Have I lost those photos ?
I'll be extremely grateful if anybody can explain please.

In this case it means that you have accessed your phones base system as an administrator (i.e. gotten down to the roots)

Not all of these files would have been photos many of them would be system files

Actually, if the disappeared photos on your phone are not overwritten, you can get them back. Try Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android to help you scan out your phone. If the disappeared photos are scanned out, you can recover them easily with its help.

a-l, I don't know much about mobile phones but there will be a way of transferring them from your phone to a computer so that you have a backup copy of them. Make sure you do this so that if you do lose them from your phone you have a reserve set.  Search the internet for the model of your phone and the word backup.

You do have to wonder about these threads - one which has lain dormant for six months and then receives a post out of the blue offering advice, often from a new member.

Is this someone being genuinely helpful, or are they advertising a product/service?
