Hi all
I recently found the burial records for a particular branch of my family tree.
On their burial record their address is simply stated as Bridge House, Chapelizod.
Would anyone know anything about this house, where exactly it was located, was it a big house?
Thanks a million
V
You didn't mention a year
This is a link to details of when the Bridge Inn/House was built -
LINKA bridge has been in place at Chapelizod for hundreds of years. In the 1600s there was a large house and bridge refurbishment and continous improvement/replacement since. The house became known as King's house after a visit by King William of Orange when returning triumphant from the Battle of the Boyne. It was destroyed bu fire in the 1800s.
Knowing a date of burial could help locate the property
