STACEY, Moonta Cemetery - South Australia
« on: Thursday 26 October 17 05:33 BST (UK) »
Are there any RootsChatters who live in the Moonta vicinity who could assist me please with a photo?

Could someone please take a photo of the STACEY  (Joseph & Elizabeth) grave in Moonta Cemetery?

Grave location - West 9 Path, east half of block 456  See attached.

I don't mind if the grave is unmarked, but this is the location of my great, great grandparents who were the first arrivals of my Stacey family to enter Australia.

This is the only grave of my original Australian forebears of which I do not have a photo.

Thank you for your help,

 Winona

Hello Rayleen.

Thank you sincerely for your help - and so fast.

It was very emotional for me to at last know where all my "first Australians" are buried.

Again a million thanks, Winona

I've found BillionGraves images have rather poor resolution, which can make reading faded characters difficult to read. The condition of this grave is really good and the image resolution acceptable. If desired, you're likely to get higher resolution images through:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~deadsearch/moonta_mz.htm; or
https://headstones.weebly.com/moonta.html.
