help please?
« on: Thursday 26 October 17 12:57 BST (UK) »
??? I am researching my Great Grandfather, His name was James Bennett and on his death certificate it says he was born 7th May 1906 Belfast, died 30th November 1977.
He was living In Birkenhead, Merseyside by 1937 where he marries, at St Lawrence's Catholic Church 26th April 1938.His occupation is shown as Hairdresser.  His father is shown as deceased and named as James Bennett, occupation labourer,
I have found a few possible matches in the records, but when I have read the guidance on GRO website it says you need the mothers as well as fathers name which I don't have.
any suggestions will be gratefully received.

once again thank you, I am now looking on various Irish Genealogy sites, not used to them so pretty slow going !
a couple of queries on the birth cert. I see its Belfast, but struggling with the address, see its New Street, but can't decipher after that, any ideas?
also a general question, the informant appears on several of the records, but again I cannot read the address associated with her, would she have been a midwife ?
again thanks for your help.
